My best friend lives in a different state than I do and her birthday is coming up. Have you ever used a great website to order flowers for someone that can be delievered in a different state or place? Thanks much!

She is probably worth a million so she can afford it. My SIL came to my hubby%26#039;s 40th birthday dinner and picked him a flower off a bush in front of the restaraunt and she is the Director of Risk Management for a Hospital and makes about $75K. What do I say or do to his family? PS ~ I am a strong Christian so nothing ugly, please. Blessings!

It is unfortunate that some have come across as judgmental but the truth is that the only person you can control is you. You are trying to have the best relationship that you can with your MIL because you have to have a relationship with her. My boyfriend has never bought me flowers?
Not even on my birthday. I really put myself out for him sometimes and he never gives me anything like this as a token of his appreciation. When I have hinted at it he has said %26quot;yeah you are long overdue a bunch of flowers%26quot; But still nada. Every other guy I have been out with has always bought me flowers. Am I wrong - it%26#039;s not the flowers themselves but the gesture that he is thinking of me or has gone out of his way to do something nice for me.

Birthday present for my mom's 40th birthday???? 10pts to the best!!!?
My mom will be turning forty soon and I need to get her a good gift. I am 16 and her bday being a good one is totally up to me b/c my bros cannot drive to get her a present, they%26#039;re too young, and my dad will be out of town on her birthday so he won%26#039;t be able to help me out. So what should I get her? Hopefully I can think of something better than this, but if not, my fall back present is going to be like 40 roses or 40 sunflowers, those are her fave flowers. I really want to think of something better though!

Or you can make her breakfast at home then go out. She will love it especially coming from you. Make her a handmade card with a picture of you and your brothers (if you want to include them in that) set up the table and sit with her for breakfast and talk. I hope this helps. My daughter surprises me with homemade breakfast and makes the table up. I loved the fact that she took the time for the little details. Enjoy!

How do you feel when your spouse completely forgets your birthday?
My husband forgot mine. I was really insulted. Not even a %26quot;happy birthday%26quot;. Nothing.
I plan his birthday weeks in advance, and between my parents and myself, he gets hundreds of $$. We have been married for 4 years, and every year, my birthday is less and less important to him.
If he remembers, he goes out at the last minute and buys roses (I%26#039;m allergic to them, and he knows this, and i have told him the flowers I love, and he still buys roses).
He said that for his next birthday, I have permission to treat him badly and not buy him anything. That%26#039;s ridiculous. I won%26#039;t go down to that level.

I agree! For my 30th my guy did nothing, worked that day, threw an ipod nano on the table, in the bag he bought it in, with the receipt and murmured Happy Birthday. Like you I planned his in advance buying him Dell speakers for his laptop, oh he got me a card but it was a %26quot;comedy%26quot; one that mentioned my breasts!
Men DO NOT get birthdays, I dont know why, they are afraid I think of really making an effort, going all out and then... you hate it and they feel like a massive failure, so they make no effort and rest assured their ego will be intact by the end.
I have spoken at length to my boyfriend and said that it hurts my feelings when so little effort is made and to please listen to what I would like... you know like no roses etc. Or that you will be deeply hurt and take it as an insult if he does not act on your advice.
You dont need to treat him badly to get back at him like you said, just be clear and make him aware it hurts you and it may cause you to fall out of love with him and want someone who cares a little more? Be brave! xxx

Reply:You didn%26#039;t tell him that your birthday was coming up because you wanted to play the victim, to see if he %26quot;loved%26quot; you. Some people are just bad with dates. Tell him that you love him and you are willing to accept late gifts. Tell him he can make it up to you....you want a nite on the town, and a wonderful present that shows how much he loves you (something with a lot of thought put into it) it doesn%26#039;t have to be expensive, and a card with a special note saying exactly why he loves you. Some men just need guidance and advance warning. Tell him you will clear your schedule for next Friday nite and that will give him a week. Meanwhile, don%26#039;t harp on what he didn%26#039;t do just let him know how excited you are for the weekend. Then after he gives you that wonderful late birthday present, talk about it to your friends and family so he hears....brag on him a little.
Reply:Being natural caregivers and nurturers its in our nature to go all out for the men in our lives, thats why it is so crushing when they dont do the same for us. Rest asured he didnt do this on purpose although that doesnt make you feel any better. Men just arent wired like us perfect creatures! Dont take it too badly. Who wants to be reminded they are another year older anyway? I stopped counting after 30!

My ex husband always forgot my b-day. We were together for 14 years. I plan his birthday weeks in advance, and between my parents and myself, he gets hundreds of $$. We have been married for 4 years, and every year, my birthday is less and less important to him.

she got off work earlier, and i stay till 5.
an hour after she left, someone delivered flowers while i wasnt there.
i come back and flowers are there for her, but shes not even here!
shes working tomarrow, and the only choice would be to leave them here.
i dont want them to die though.
and there are no vases here.
how do i keep them alive?
theres: a freezer. refridgerator, sink. etc. and the room is air conditioned.

So I want to have flowers sent to her on monday but I am not sure what to send her and how many. A dozen is too much and takes a lot of room. She doesnt have to keep them forever, just till she moves back home, 5 minutes from here, and then she can ditch them if she wants because then we%26#039;ll be together. Well its my moms birthday and so i had to get her something. The thing is i feel its kind of lame, common and not stating enough. I got this nice gift bag with a card in which im going to write something personal inside. I also got one of those expensive chocolates. Im gonna make a nice banner saying happy birthday and leave it all in my room before i go to one of these classes afterschool. I thouhgt about it and i kind thought its too common and lame, there is no actual present, and belive it or not, the things i bought came up to 20 dollars... But im only a teenager, the only way i get money is from birthdays and its hard for me to buy sumthing expensive...

I have been seeing this guy for 5 months now and tomorrow is his birthday. I am trying to think of something sweet to do for him. So me and this girl have been seeing eachother exclusively for almost 4 months and we%26#039;ve been talking since end of last year. What's an alternative for fresh flowers for valentines?
Im planning to give the girl that i like the %26#039;traditional%26#039; flower gift for valentines this year.. i have given her a couple of bouquets on her birthday, etc. but i think its too much cliche if i would give her another flowers that%26#039;s gonna die anyway. This morning when I woke up, my husband had a beautiful card waiting for me, along with a Starbucks insulated coffee cup, because he knows how much I LOVE my Starbucks. I planned on my bf%26#039;s birthday to have a romantic dinner for two with baloons and flowers at a place called the melting pot in SC. And I was going to meet with some more male friends at a strip club and get him a lap dance where his favorite NFL players just happened to be the same night. Put your computer skills to work! Use Excel, get clipart from Yahoo Images Search, copy them, and reformat them, use a gluestick to put on posterboard.
Use graph paper, and pictures from magazines if you are not as good on the computer, and it will give it a homemade feeling.

The crossword puzzle could be time consuming and a bit frustrating ... you could do the same idea with a WORDSEARCH or WORDFIND puzzle.
Put your computer skills to work! Use Excel, get clipart from Yahoo Images Search, copy them, and reformat them, use a gluestick to put on posterboard.
Use graph paper, and pictures from magazines if you are not as good on the computer, and it will give it a homemade feeling.

ok, my girl friend%26#039;s birthday party is on july 8th (her real birthday is june 26).... we have known eachother for over a year, but we have only been officially dating for about a week.....
its her 15th birthday, and that is special in the latin culture!! i cant make it because im going out of town the day before the party!!!! i feel like a jerk!!! not being there for her special day is horrible on my part, but there is no way i can make it!!
i want to make it up, but how?? im thinking about sending her flowers to were her party will be... thats about all i have come up with soo far... what about the present?? what whould be appropriate?? its should be a pretty nice gift, since its like both a %26quot;sorry i didnt make it%26quot; and %26quot;happy birthday%26quot; gift....

My boyfriend gave me a gift, but we didn't do anything special for my birthday. Should I be upset?
I am in a very happy long distance relationship and it is my 30th birthday tomorrow. My boyfriend came for the weekend. He gave me a really sweet card and flowers for Valentine%26#039;s day and a lovely gift for my birthday. We agreed that we would celebrate my birthday on the Saturday night. I realised when he arrived that he hadn%26#039;t planned anything for the Saturday night and I was a little disappointed. I tried to drop hints like ...perhaps we can go here or there.. I don%26#039;t think I should have to do that for my birthday. I know that he didn%26#039;t mean to be careless, but I was really quite upset. I had expected to have a special time with him. This doesn%26#039;t necessarily mean that I would like him to spend money. He has done nice things for me before (eg. picnic, cook dinner etc..).
Am I being unreasonable?
