What's an alternative for fresh flowers for valentines?

Im planning to give the girl that i like the %26#039;traditional%26#039; flower gift for valentines this year.. i have given her a couple of bouquets on her birthday, etc. but i think its too much cliche if i would give her another flowers that%26#039;s gonna die anyway. ANy suggestions on an alternative thats not too cliche? i was planning to give her a flower made of glass so it wont die, but i think its too lame. So any suggestions would be greatly apprecitaed! thanks!!!

What%26#039;s an alternative for fresh flowers for valentines?
glass is wonderful! my hubby bought me a giant plastic sunflower for mothers day! I wanted to strangle him! but a delicate glass flower with something like %26quot;made of precious glass so fragile like you, yet strong and undying like my affection for you%26quot; add that to a card or get one of those empty ones you write in yourself you have got it made! yeah it will win her heart! You go with your original idea! Balloons ar second to flowers!
Reply:that is such a cute idea. do it! maybe on her card say something cute about how the flower will never die. your awesome!

Reply:If you really want to give her flowers do what my husband does. My husband refuses to buy me cut flowers because they die. He buys me potted flowers so I can plant them afterwards.
Reply:first, stop giving her flowers for every little thing... make a reservation at a really nice ROMANTIC restaurant... Even if you can%26#039;t afford much, make sure it%26#039;s romantic -- maybe even give her a CHOCOLATE rose when they seat you.... chocolate roses have just the rose eatable, not the whole thing A cafe out doors if the weather is mild would be nice... if indoors, pull her chair out to seat her... do gentlemen things like that. treat her like a real lady, etc. That%26#039;s MUCH better than flowers.
