If your best friend forgot to call you on your birthday...?

would you consider that no big deal?!!





more info: we live in different cities...we%26#039;re both busy, blablabla. the idea isnt driving to see me or sending a gift. the idea is remembering to call me on my damn birthday. everyone else found the time to call, write, send flowers, and/or make it to my surprise dinner....but somehow she didnt %26quot;find the right time...%26quot;


riiiiight.


that makes year number 2. in a row. that she didnt find the right time to call me on my birthday.





she says that she doesnt think its a big deal and that its NOT FAIR for me to call her out on it.





what do you think? dick move or minor detail?

Wow. If my best friend forgot to call me on my birthday, I%26#039;d probably get really mad. This is your best friend we%26#039;re talking about. It%26#039;s understandable that she was busy, but if it happened 2 years in a row, I%26#039;d be a little suspicious. I don%26#039;t think that your best friend appreciates you as much as she should. Let her know how this makes you feel and ask her how would she feel if you did the same? Hope you are able to work it out.
Reply:I don%26#039;t think it%26#039;s a big deal maybe because I don%26#039;t make a big deal about my birthday I don%26#039;t expect people to make a big fuss about theirs. If it helps this doesn%26#039;t mean your friend doesn%26#039;t care about you, you know?, it just means she has the worst memory for birthdays, but the same happens to a lot of people, she probably forgets her mom%26#039;s!.





I think you shouldn%26#039;t make a big deal about it, yes, it%26#039;d be nice if she didn%26#039;t forget but what can you do?, wait till your husband forgets about your anniversary :p.
Reply:I think you%26#039;re making too big of a deal about this. I mean, yea it is your birthday and all, but it doesn%26#039;t mean that the world stops to revolve around you that day. Your friend was probably busy and forgot to call, so what?
Reply:It probably slipped her mind its just a minor thing especially when you live so far, I say no big deal just dont let it happen again.

Reply:sounds like she%26#039;s not that good of a friend if you ask me i%26#039;d keep her at arm distance i dont want people like that in my life they only have time for whats important to them thats selfish me peronally i dont want my friends to be like that so i keep those people at arms distance like a good contact to drink coffee but dont rely on them for nothin. everyone makes mistakes but to not care thats not cool
Reply:I think you dont need to make a big deal about it... its normal to sometimes forget one%26#039;s birthday even if she/he is your best friend.. she is busy as you said. it has happened to me more than 2 yrs already, and i dont care anymore, the thing is my life continues, I greet my best friend on her birthday i dont care if she forgot to greet me... its ok with me.. we are both busy so.. it alright... and this might just cause you your friendship with her...





You should not be hurt that much... I mean your life wouldnt be over because someone forgot your birthday.. may be in your next birthday she might surprise you.... (**,)
